Carlos Gabriel RuizCarlos G. Ruiz is an Addy Award winning writer-producer, illustrator and designer.

As an illustrator his work has appeared in DC Comics' imprint, Zuda Comics, and his illustrations have graced the covers of the magazines Two Drink Minimum and Vox. His work appears monthly in Playback:STL, where he writes and draws the comics "Pretentious Record Store Guy" and "Parade of Freaks".

He currently works as a web designer for web design and search marketing firm, The Net Impact. Some of his projects there include the number one Van Gogh website in the world, The Van Gogh Gallery and its offshoot, The Studio of the South.

Previously he was a staff illustrator at the now defunct Two Drink Minimum comedy magazine, where he also wrote and drew the comic strip “The Joel Sinclair Show” and he was the illustrator for Bosco’s "Elliott Goes" comic strip which also ran in Playback:STL.

He has written and produced several animated and live action commercials for Slackers CDs & Games and Charter Television. He won an Addy Award for writing, producing, storyboarding and illustrating the animated commerical "Major Boredom" for Slackers CDs & Games.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Missouri-Columbia and currently lives in St. Louis, Missouri.
